A Collaboration Between Titanium and a Higashi-Osaka Mold Engineering Company

Sakane Mold Manufacturing is engaged primarily in manufacturing press-use molds at its Higashi-Osaka factory. The metal titanium boasts lightness and physical strength while not causing metal allergies, a combination of properties that make it extremely useful in a host of industrial and medical fields. On the other hand, because titanium is very hard, it also tends to be kept at a distance as a metal that brings tears to the eyes of people in the machining business.

However, under the influence of the recent health boom, titanium is drawing wide-ranging attention as a material for fashion accessories, etc., due to its physical friendliness and the fact that, unlike many other metals, it rarely causes allergic reactions.

We considered that it might be possible to apply the mold manufacturing technology we have accumulated over many years in Higashi Osaka to the task of titanium machining, and accordingly we researched this question by repeating many cycles of trial and error.

As a result, we have succeeded in utilizing titanium for use in everything from mere accessories to message tools, an achievement that could only have been realized by dedicated engineers.
By taking full advantage of the characteristics of the materials and pigments used in our elastic coils, we are able to employ the colors and hardness best suited for the intended products.

In addition, the development of our original manufacturing machines has made it possible for us to manufacture extremely high-quality products.
