Compared with spheres made of steel or stainless steel, spheres made of engineered plastics feature characteristics include lightness, excellent acid resistance, alkali resistance, electrical and thermal insulation and magnetic resistance capabilities.
In addition, by changing the coloring and supplying additives according to the application, it is possible to produce spheres from materials with characteristics such as specific gravity, thermal resistance, temperature resistance, abrasion resistance or chemical resistance that precisely match the demands of almost any desired application purpose.
Making use of the above characteristics, Sato Tekkou's engineered plastic spheres are used across a broad range of industries for a host of applications including special valves, medical parts, cosmetics-use, computer parts and low-weight bearings.
Recently, we have also begun to produce spheres made of super-engineered plastic, a material that outperforms even engineering plastic in terms of physical properties such as heat resistance and mechanical strength.
