We fashion single lengths of urethane cord to produce elastic coils that can be used in many different fields. These elastic coils can be provided with various features including a variety of thickness and length options according to their intended use.
Elastic coils with larger load-bearing capacities can be obtained by inserting metal wires or Kevlar fiber into the urethane lines.
At present, elastic coils are widely used in such familiar applications as cell phone straps, fall prevention straps for tools, idling strap key chains, medical apron straps, ski and board leash cords, underwater camera straps, hat straps and pen holders.
