Mirror Surfacing Shot Machine: SMAP
Mirror surfacing is a difficult task that requires considerable skill when performed using a conventional shot system polisher.
However, in the shot machine SMAP, KAMEI IRON WORKS has incorporated an originally developed grinding medium that consists of a compound coating of fine grinding particles on the surface of an elastic material core.
By projecting this granular grinding medium 0.1mm~2.0mm off-center, it is possible to polish all kinds of surfaces including those of complex three-dimensionally-shaped work pieces to produce a mirror-smooth surface.
What’s more, this device can remove the fine burring left by fine processing and outer circumference edge finishing too.
The applications of the mirror surface shot machine SMAP include mirror surface polishing of metal dies and tools, grinding before and after coating, removing fine after-coating and simultaneous grinding, and general polishing.
