The Quick Catcher is pump created out of the experience of the 1995 Kobe earthquake. Fire fighters were unable to pull water from shallow rivers, and Rodan21 realized a new approach was needed, resulting in the innovative Quick Catcher.
1. The Quick Catcher quickly pulls in water even from shallow sources—as shallow as 4 cm—using a specially designed intake box. This is a great improvement over methods where sandbags and riverbeds had to be dug to suction water in shallow conditions.
